About This Work
Elaborate interpretation of the first of Petrarch's six visions in Canzone 323. The death of the Fera (depicted with Laura's face) is on the left and Laura's tomb is on the right. Also shown are the arms of Jean, Cardinal of Lorraine and the text of the first vision.
