The Fountain of Wisdom II

This is the Book of the Fountain of Wisdom, which the angel Michael gave to Pali, and Pali gave to Moses our Teacher Hebrew: Mar'eh, a common abbreviation for Moshe Rabbenu, and Moses revealed it so that future generations might become wise through it. These transformations are exchanges, and the exchanges are transformations; they are all joined back-to-back, spreading across the movements, and the movements into additions, and the additions into subtractions, and the subtractions into externalities, and the externalities into redundancies, and the redundancies into advantages, and the advantages upon the back of the Aleph The first letter of the Hebrew alphabet, representing unity.

And now, we must search for those things which are both revealed and hidden, such as the name Adonai. The letter Aleph divides into 400 heads. How so? When you open your mouth literally "open the Pe" to say "Aleph," behold, there are two things, and these two things are two words: A-A and A-T. The A-A are divided into four: A, A, A, A. When you place two at the beginning and two at the end, you will find there is Light in the middle. Regarding that Light, you cannot say it is not One, just as you cannot say it is less than this. Therefore, there are five: A, A, A, A, A. And One is not less than two; when you calculate them, you find them to be ten, corresponding to the letter He (5) and the letter He (5). The calculation of the letter Yod is twenty, and twenty becomes forty, and those are the 80 (Pe), and the 80 are 160. In this double construction, we must return it to the essence of the Yod. How? distant from the movements so that the matter may be clarified. Likewise are these four names we mentioned: the first is Ehyeh, the second is Yod-Daled The spelling out of the letter Yod, the third is Adonai, and the fourth is Y-A-V. Know, understand, investigate, calculate, establish, and lean one thing upon another. Compare parable to parable until you stand upon the clarification of these matters. For all wisdom, understanding, knowledge, thought, investigation, movement, logic, speech, whisper, voice, action, observance, and deed—everything you will find in this Name.

When you wish to stand and become wise through the letters the 22 letters that emerge through the 231 Gates the combinations of the Hebrew alphabet described in the Sefer Yetzirah, you shall rise from them to action, from action to trial, from trial to proof, from proof to investigation, from investigation to knowledge, from knowledge to a higher level, and from that level to a settled mind.
