8 They became like horses maddened by desire; each one neighed after his neighbor's wife.
9 Shall I not visit them for these things? saith the Lord; or shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation?

15 Behold, I bring upon you a nation from afar, O house of Israel, saith the Lord, a nation whose language thou shalt not understand.

17 And they shall devour your harvest, and your bread, and they shall devour your sons, and your daughters, and
they shall devour your sheep, and your calves, and they shall devour your vineyards, and your fig trees, and your olive trees; and they shall grind down with the sword your fortified cities, in which you have placed your trust.
18 And it shall be in those days, saith the Lord thy God, I will not bring you to an end.
19 And it shall be when you say, Wherefore hath the Lord our God done all these things to us? and thou shalt say to them, Because as ye have served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land not yours.
20 Declare these things in the house of Jacob, and let it be heard in the house of Judah.
21 Hear now these things, O foolish and heartless people; they have eyes and see not, they have ears and hear not.
22 Will ye not fear me, saith the Lord?? or will ye not tremble before my face? I who have placed the sand as a boundary? to the sea, an eternal decree, and it shall not pass over it, and though its waves be stirred, they shall not prevail; and though they roar, they shall not pass over it.
23 But this people has had a disobedient and rebellious heart, and they have turned aside and gone away,
24 And they said not in their heart, Let us fear the Lord our God; who gives us the early and latter rain,
