V. An abstract of his Essay towards a Real Character, and a Philosophical Language. Wilkins's "Real Character" was an ambitious attempt to create a universal symbolic language based on scientific classification rather than words.

To which is prefixed the AUTHOR'S LIFE, and an account of his works.
