A faint institutional library stamp is embossed into the upper-left margin of the paper. The seal features a crown surrounded by circular text. Such marks, known as dry stamps (timbre sec), were used by major archives and libraries to indicate ownership and provenance without using ink that might damage or bleed through the paper.
