Therefore, God awakens a figure of redemption in the zeal of justice through Moses. In an imitation of the same process as the creation of the spirit of this world, Moses was cast into the water after his birth out of terror and fear of death from Pharaoh. He was then called in the fire referring to the Burning Bush (as the root of the strong power of life). God gives him the office of a leader and a mighty savior according to the governance of the spirit of this world, so that he rules over Pharaoh and Egypt with wonders and deeds as a "little God" original: "kleiner GOtt"; a reference to Exodus 7:1 where Moses is made as a god to Pharaoh and creator. He thereafter drives and leads the Mysterium Microcosmi The Mystery of the Microcosm: the inner world of man reflecting the universe, as the separated and fallen qualities of human life (like the stars in the sky) in the figure of the children of Israel. And he forces them with power toward the obedience of God through the Law, with terror and the horrific sight of dark clouds, steam, thunder, lightning, and the sound of trumpets. In the office of his spirit of zeal, he goes forth to destroy the mystery of the causes of sin and abomination outside of himself in the world through war, sword, slaughter, and the extermination of the heathens and foreign peoples; as well as to reconcile their own actual sins with the slaughter and fire-offerings of cattle, through the time of Joshua, the Judges, Kings, and Prophets, until the time of the Messiah, when the gentle baptism of water begins and the Sun of Life rises in Christ.

There the prototype ceases, and the fiery zeal of the Law must die and rest; for it cannot lead the human mystery through the wrath of God. Therefore, He calls Joshua—as Jesus—a second time into the Mystery upon Mount Tabor, and hands over to Him the Mysterium Macrocosmi and Microcosmi The Mystery of the Great World (Universe) and the Little World (Man), so that He may destroy the introduced malice of the Devil in the world with the fire and sword of judgment. However, He leads man in the spirit of His love through the sacrifice of His own Divine flesh and blood through the wrath of God, and divides the land of Paradise for eternal rest. This land is still in this world, but covered with the curse of vanity, just as Moses’ glorified face was covered with the veil, Christ is covered with the false hypocrisy of the Anti-christ, and the Scripture is covered with secret prototypes and figures. Yet these are now, with the opening of the 7th Seal by the Angel of the 7th Trumpet, unlocked, discovered, shown, and unwound.
