Of the Creation

To angels and spiritual knowledge spiritual knowledge: "geistlichen wissenheit," referring to an intuitive or divinely granted understanding beyond human reason, there was a flash, essence, and radiance, just as the Spirits have perfectly revealed, and it is natural to believe this. For a true blue color holds much light within it, along with many hidden and unknown colors. When a beautiful blue color is so joyful and lovely to look upon, the brilliance of its radiance—in both its outward shining and its inward reflection of hidden colors—causes pain to eyes of flesh. It breaks the power of human sight because of the brilliance of that hidden fiery light, which cannot be fully perceived within the dark, hidden substance substance: "substantien," referring here to the underlying spiritual matter or essence of a thing.

Therefore the Spirit says that eyes of flesh cannot see this; for in the color blue, darkness and light cannot be distinguished by any created beings created beings: "Creaturen," all things made by God, including humans and angels, but are only yet to be known and recognized. In this same way, darkness and light were still mixed together before God the Almighty [created] Heaven
