I would be lying entirely if I said I was not delighted by the writings of the Fraternity Fraternitas: The Rosicrucian Brotherhood, from which nothing is produced so carelessly that it could be matched by the greatest effort of many others. The torrent of their speech awakens the drowsiness of others; their sea of knowledge scientia: deep, systematic understanding or wisdom provides insight; their passion sharpens the cold; their abundance, which overflows everywhere, corrects and prunes away meager scarcity.
Finally, since the chief pleasure of life voluptas vitæ: the highest fulfillment or joy found in existence is to spend one's leisure hours with faithful advisors, what could be more pleasant than to converse with such men even in their absence—men to whom nothing is hidden regarding the salvation of mortals and the blessed life? At the very least, by holding us in suspense for so long, they have stirred even the most sensible heart to impatience.
