Furthermore, I wish to describe a man who shall be 8 of his heads long; in this, I use the following method: I first measure the length of the limbs litmaten: the various segments and members of the body as follows:

From the crown of the head to the hollow of the throat, a 6th part.
But from the crown to the end of the chin, an 8th part.
From the end of the chin upwards, to the end of the forehead, a 10th part.
Therein I divide the face according to the length as previously told.
Furthermore, I measure from the crown to the soft of the waist, a 3rd part.
From the height of the hollow of the throat to under the armpits, a 14th part. But on the back, the armpits stand lower.
From the height of the hollow of the throat to the nipples, a 10th part.
From the crown of the head to the crotch original: "splytinghe des mans," literally the 'splitting' of the man, a 2nd part.

From the soft of the waist to:

• the navel: a 29th part.
• the beginning of the hips: an 18th part.
• the end of the hips: a 20th and an 18th part.
• the pubic region: two 13th parts.
• the end of the buttocks: a 10th and 11th part.

From the end of the buttocks to the end of the knees, a 4th part.
From the end of the buttocks to the opening or thickness of the leg, a 15th part.
From the end of the soles of the feet upwards, to the outer ankles of the shinbone, a 27th part.
But from the end of the ankles upwards, to the height of the joint likely the ankle joint or the prominence of the malleolus, a 21st part.
From the end of the aforementioned ankles upwards to the middle of the knee, a 14th part.
Or I place the knee at its position by using the comparator verghelijcker: a proportional compass or scale used to ensure consistent ratios, just as indicated in the first illustration.
From the middle of the knee upwards, a 30th part. There the knee ends.

From the middle of the knee downwards:

• a 30th part: there the knee ends.
• a 9th part: there the outer calves end.
• a 15th and 16th part: there the inner calves end.

After that, I determine the length of the arm.
From the height of the hollow of the throat, where the shoulder-joints sit, to the elbow, a 5th part.
From the elbow to the end of the finger, a 4th part.
From the end of the finger into the joint of the hand the wrist, a 10th part.
Thereafter I determine the thickness of the man from the side.

In the first point of the backmost vertebra the 7th cervical vertebra at the base of the neck, a 10th part thick.
Across the eyebrows, an 8th part.
Across the head and nose, a 9th part.
Across the chin and neck, a 10th part.
The neck under the chin, a 16th part.
Further downwards, a 14th part.
At the hollow of the throat, a 12th part.
At the height of the breast, a 7th part.
Across the nipples, a 7th part.
Below the breasts, a 14th and 15th part.
In the soft of the waist, a 16th and 17th part.
Above the navel, a 17th and 18th part.
At the beginning of the hips, an 8th part.
At the end of the hips, a 7th part.
Across the leg and buttocks, to the pubic region, a 15th part.
And I make the leg thick below the buttocks, a 9th part.
Middle of the upper leg, a 19th and 20th part.
On the knee, a 14th part.
Middle of the knee, a 15th part.

Below the knee, a 16th part.
Middle of the calves, a 13th part.
At the end of the calves, a 17th part.
Below at the foot, a 24th part.
And I make the foot long, a 6th part.
After that, I make the arm thick from the side.
In the armpit, a 13th part.
Under the armpits, a 17th part.
In the elbow, a 24th part.
Through the elbow, a 22th part.
In the joint of the hand, a 40th part.
And the hollow of the hand, a 34th part.
Thereafter I determine at all points the widths of the man viewed from the front, thus:

Above the ears, a 17th part.
