The neck, beneath the chin, is a 16th part. The author uses a system where the total height of a man is 600 units; a "16th part" here means 16 of those 600 units.
At the hollow of the neck, I make the shoulders a 6th part wide.
Below that, the armpit joints or shoulders stand apart from one another by an 11th and 12th part.
I make the chest, above the armpits, a 4th part wide.
Between the armpits, a 6th part.
Between the nipples, a 9th part.
In the soft part original: "weecke," referring to the waist or the flank between the ribs and the hips, two 13th parts.
At the beginning of the hips, a 6th part.
At the end of the hips, a 10th and 11th part.
At this height, the legs in the hips stand apart from one another by a 14th and 15th part.
And I make the leg at the top, under the buttocks, an 11th part wide.
At the width or thickness of the leg, a 13th part.
Above the knee, a 16th part.
In the middle of the knee, an 18th part.
