original: "Rosenkrantz." While usually a Catholic prayer aid, in alchemical literature, a "rosary" or "garland" refers to a curated collection of flowers of wisdom or essential texts.
original: "Chymische Tractätlein." The use of "chemical" here refers to alchemy, which at the time of publication (1747) was beginning to diverge from modern chemistry but still shared much of its terminology.
The text notes it was translated into German (original: "Teutsche"), though this current translation renders it into English for the modern reader.
