The image displays the exterior of a book. It is bound in a quarter-binding: a binding style where the spine is covered in one material and the boards in another style. The spine and about one-third of the front board are covered in a light blue cloth. This cloth features a fine, vertical textured grain. The remaining two-thirds of the front board are covered in marbled paper: paper decorated with swirling patterns that look like stone. The marbling pattern consists of large, irregular circular spots in black and dark grey. These spots are surrounded by swirls of yellow, teal-blue, and black on an off-white or cream-colored base. On the upper portion of the spine, there is a small, dark rectangular label. It shows remnants of gold-tooled lettering. This lettering is now illegible due to wear. There is also a small, faint gold-tooled mark or number at the very bottom of the spine.
The text on the spine label and at the foot of the spine is too faded and blurred to be transcribed.
