A rectangular Art Nouveau bookplate, which is a decorative label identifying the book's owner, features a black and white illustration of three tall irises. The flowers have dark petals and are supported by long, vertical stems and slender, blade-like leaves. The illustration is enclosed within a double-line border. The entire plate is pasted onto a background of marbled paper with red, yellow, and blue veins. At the bottom of the plate's frame is a text compartment. The initials "G.=" are visible in the bottom right corner of the floral illustration itself. Outside the border at the bottom right, the name of the engraver is printed.
PICART, Engraver original: "Gr.", an abbreviation for the French "Graveur".
