A heraldic bookplate featuring the coat of arms of the Barton family. The crest consists of a boar's head. The shield contains three boars' heads (two in the upper half and one in the lower half). Below the shield is a decorative scroll with the Latin motto: "FIDE ET FORTITUDINE" original: "Fide et fortitudine" (With faith and fortitude).
