Preface.

In order to more conveniently satisfy the expectations of the readers, as well as my own, I have decided to publish the previously planned Magic Library original: "Bibliothecam Magicam" in individual installments. Furthermore, for the sake of providing greater practical utility, I have chosen to incorporate alongside the reports on the books entire legal proceedings Handlungen: official records of court trials, particularly those concerning witchcraft or sorcery or—given their great length—complete extracts of them. Likewise, I have included my own observations and experiences regarding the most important aspects of this subject, as well as the most remarkable histories and the most plausible accounts themselves. This has moved me to expand the title as well, and to call this collection Acts and Writings on Magic original: "Acta & Scripta Magica".
