VALENTINE, Valentine Giles (1875–1950), Lionel's twin, served as a colonel in the Royal Engineers.
LANCELOT. Lancelot Giles (1878–1934) also served in the British Consular Service and survived the Siege of the Legations during the Boxer Rebellion.
