A high-relief stone sculpture from the Ajanta Caves. The central figure is a seated serpent king, or Nāgarāja, resting on a decorated rectangular throne. He wears a tiered crown, necklaces, and armlets. A large, protective canopy of seven cobra heads rises behind him. To his left sits a smaller female figure, likely a Nagini or queen, also adorned in jewelry with a single-headed cobra hood behind her. To the left of the main figure, a smaller attendant stands in the background. The entire scene is carved into a deep, dark niche within the rock wall.
