The scene is framed by two large, prominent tree trunks in the foreground—one on the left and one on the right. Smaller branches and leaves arch over the top of the scene, creating a natural frame for a dark, shadowed path or clearing in the center. The image has significant surface scuffing and some loss of detail due to age.
