The lessons that make up this volume originally appeared as monthly installments; the first was issued in October 1906, and the twelfth in September 1907. These lessons received a hearty and generous response from the public, and this current volume is being published to meet the demand for the lessons in a permanent and durable form. No changes have been made to the text.
The publishers would like to draw the reader's attention to the large amount of information condensed into each lesson. Students have told us they found it necessary to read and study each lesson carefully to absorb the varied information within its pages. They have also stated that they found it helpful to re-read the lessons several times, leaving an interval between each reading; they found that with each repetition, they discovered information that had escaped them during their previous study. We have heard this so often that we feel justified in mentioning it so that other readers might follow the same plan of study.
Following his usual custom, the author of these lessons The author is William Walker Atkinson, writing under the pseudonym Yogi Ramacharaka. has declined to write a preface for this book. He claims that the lessons speak for themselves and that those for whom they are intended will receive the message within them without any introductory explanation.
