When we are so focused on talking to a loved one that we forget everything happening around us, the hours fly by without being noticed. In contrast, those same hours seem like days to someone in the same place who is bored or not occupied with a task.
People have nodded off, and in the single second before waking up, they have dreamed of events that seemed to require years to occur. Many of you have had experiences of this kind, and science has recorded many such cases. On the other hand, a person may fall asleep and remain unconscious for hours without dreaming; upon waking, they will insist they only nodded for a moment. Next, our Intellect informs us that it must conceive of the Absolute as being Infinite in Space—existing everywhere, or being Omnipresent. It cannot be limited, because there is nothing outside of itself to set a limit. There is no such place as "Nowhere." Every place is part of the "Everywhere." And this Everywhere is filled with the All—the Infinite Reality—the Absolute.
Just as it was with the idea of Time, we find it very difficult—if not impossible—to form a mental image of the Omnipresent, or of That which occupies Infinite Space.
