The Heavenly Arcana Original Latin: Arcana Coelestia. This is the title of Swedenborg's primary work, meaning "Heavenly Secrets." which have been unfolded in the Holy Scripture or Word of the Lord are contained in the Explication, which is the INTERNAL SENSE Swedenborg argued that the Bible has a hidden, spiritual meaning beneath the literal stories, which he called the "internal sense." of the Word.
