36. ...in making your atonement original: "propitiatio"; the act of cleansing or purifying the altar to allow for reconciliation between the human and the Divine. upon it; and you shall anoint it, to sanctify it.

37. Seven days you shall make atonement upon the altar, and shall sanctify it, and the altar shall be a holy of holies; every one that touches the altar shall be sanctified.

38. And this is what you shall offer upon the altar: two lambs sons of a year original: "filii anni"; referring to year-old lambs, which represent a state of innocence in its first stage of development., day by day, continually.

39. The one lamb you shall offer in the morning; and the other lamb you shall offer between the evenings original: "inter vesperas"; the time of twilight, symbolizing the transition between different states of spiritual life.:

40. And a tenth of fine flour mingled with beaten oil The flour represents spiritual truth, while the oil represents the good of love; together they form a complete offering of the heart and mind., a fourth of a hin, and a drink-offering original: "libamen"; an offering of wine representing the spiritual truth that brings joy. of the fourth of a hin of wine for the first lamb.

41. And the second lamb you shall offer between the evenings; according to the meat-offering of the morning, and according to the drink-offering thereof, you shall do thereto, for an odor of rest original: "odor quietis"; often translated as "soothing aroma," it signifies the Divine perception of peace when worship is rooted in love., a fire-offering original: "ignitum"; an offering consumed by fire, representing the transformation of the self through Divine love. to Jehovah:

42. A continual burnt-offering original: "holocaustum"; a sacrifice entirely dedicated to God, symbolizing total surrender to the Divine will. to your generations at the door of the Tent of meeting original: "Tentorium conventus"; the Tabernacle, the designated place where the human and Divine realms communicate. before Jehovah; where I will meet with you, to speak unto you there.

43. And there I will meet with the sons of Israel, and it shall be sanctified in My glory.

44. And I will sanctify the Tent of meeting, and the altar; and Aaron and his sons will I sanctify to minister to Me in the priest's office.

45. And I will dwell in the midst of the sons of Israel, and will be to them for God.

46. And they shall know that I am Jehovah their God, who have brought them out from the land of Egypt, that I may dwell in the midst of them; I am Jehovah their God.
