A decorative bookplate for the Charles Holbrook Library at the Pacific School of Religion. The central illustration depicts a Gothic-style stone building, likely a chapel or library, framed by foliage and a stylized architectural border. In the upper left corner is a circular seal containing a figure and two lambs, with the Latin inscription "SIGILL. SCHOLÆ RELIGIONIS PACIFICÆ" Seal of the Pacific School of Religion and "COND. AD 1866" Founded in the year of our Lord 1866. In the upper right corner is a ribbon scroll with the Latin motto "PRO VERITATE ET REGNO DEI" For the Truth and the Kingdom of God. Below the image, the library name is presented in two different typefaces. Small initials "BHC" are visible in the lower right of the illustrated frame.
A small rectangular bookseller's label in the bottom right corner of the page with a yellow border.
