The Trigger Hook original: jigou (機鉤); the part that catches and holds the string has a total length of 0.8 inches, a thickness of slightly over 0.3 inches, and a total height of 0.5 inches.
The String-Catch original: guaxianji (掛絃機); the notched part of the hook where the string rests is 0.2 inches wide and 0.2 inches deep.
The Rear Sight original: zhaomen (照門) has a total height of 0.8 inches; its U-shaped notch is 0.15 inches wide, and the diameter of its pin-hole is 0.1 inches.
The Mechanism Spacer original: dianji (墊機); an internal support plate has a total length of 1.5 inches, a thickness of 0.1 inches, and a width of 0.4 inches. Its internal tip is 0.5 inches long, slightly over 0.1 inches thick and high, with a pin-hole diameter of 0.1 inches.
The Trigger Lever original: boji (撥機); the piece pulled by the finger to release the shot is 1.1 inches long, 0.35 inches wide, and slightly over 0.1 inches thick.
The Two Pins original: jian (鍵); the axles that hold the mechanism together are 0.9 inches long; their specific diameter should be sized according to the holes in the mechanism.
The Housing original: xia (匣); the bronze casing for the assembly is 2.2 inches long, 0.7 inches high, and slightly over 0.4 inches wide.
If a housing is not used, a piece of bronze plating original: tongpi (銅皮) should be nailed to the area where the mechanism is installed. Although manufacturing the weapon in this manner saves money, I fear it may lead to damage of the crossbow stock original: nushen (弩身).
