Wubei Zhi (Vol. 48)

This page contains three woodcut illustrations of military or defensive equipment. At the top right is a rectangular shield or screen labeled "Pi Zhu Ba" (Leather and bamboo screen). It features a woven herringbone pattern and a central rectangular handle or viewing port. On the left side is a long vertical pole with cross-bars near the top, labeled "Gou Jiao Mu" (Dog-foot wood). It appears to be a type of defensive barrier or structural component. At the bottom right is a horizontal beam supported by two crossed legs, labeled "Mu Ma Zi" (Wooden horse). This resembles a sawhorse or a defensive trestle used to obstruct paths.
