Master Mao referring to the compiler, Mao Yuanyi says: The sun is black within and radiant without, hanging magnificently in the center of the heavens. As for the seasons: if the spring sun is red and moist, the summer sun is scorching and intense, the autumn sun is dry and fierce, and the winter sun is warm and mild—these are all auspicious signs.
