The Zhi River, the Zantela River, the Kesima River, the Iskar River original: "依斯加河" (Yīsījiā Hé); a major river in Bulgaria, and the Duosi River all flow into the Danube River original: "那彌河" (Nàmǐ Hé); a phonetic shortening of Danubius. These waters converge and exit into the Black Sea original: "黑海" (Hēihǎi).
In the province of Wallachia original: "威沙阿部落" (Wēishāā bùluò); a historical principality in modern-day Romania, then under Ottoman suzerainty, there are three rivers: the Yima River, the Moeryali, and the Yan River. These all converge into the Morava River original: "摩臘洼河" (Mólàwā Hé), which then flows into the Danube River and out into the Mediterranean Sea Note: The text states these flow into the Mediterranean, though geographically the Danube empties into the Black Sea; 19th-century Chinese geographies often grouped these connected basins under broad maritime headings.
In the province of Croatia original: "格羅底阿部落" (Géluódǐā bùluò), there are four rivers. The Sava River original: "沙威河" (Shāwēi Hé) connects to the country of Austria original: "奧地里加" (Àodìlǐjiā). Along with the Wamashi River, the Moshina River, and the Leina River, these four streams converge into the Danube River and flow out into the Mediterranean Sea.
In the province of Albania original: "阿爾麻尼阿部落" (Āěrmǎníyǎ bùluò), there are three rivers: the Teling River, the Siganmi River, and the Wozusha River. These flow independently into the Mediterranean Sea.
In the province of Epirus original: "額力西部部落" (Élìxībù bùluò); likely referring to the Epirus region of the southern Balkans, there are four rivers: the Maweihe River, the Shalinmoli River, the Asiboropoda River, and the Xinada River. Except for the waters of the Maweihe River, which flow into a lake, the rest all branch out and pour into the Mediterranean Sea.
