The Lord God spoke through the prophet Haggai [chapter] II, verse 10 In many modern Bibles, this is Haggai 2:9.: The glory of this latter house shall be greater than that of the first; yet in this latter house or Temple, the well-known five items were missing: 1) The Ark of the Covenant. 2) The Eternal Fire. 3) The Pillar of Cloud. 4) The gift of prophecy, and 5) The Light and Right Light and RightA translation of 'Urim and Thummim,' the sacred lot used by the High Priest to determine God's will.. In what, then, did the glory of this latter house consist, since these five most excellent items were not present? At that point, the prophet pointed with outstretched hand and finger to the Temple, and this one, (which word is found explicitly in the Hebrew original: expreße im Hebräischen) which was then being built...
