immortality; before their eyes always the? gain is considered nothing, but honor is the? master?. For this reason, it is most worthy to praise those before? us, who did not leave their own virtues unremembered?, but rather set them forth through history as things worthy? of bright and lasting memory. And so they say that history benefits the inhabited world, or rather those who have been handed down to their successors throughout all the time? that? has? passed? from? the? beginning? and? up? to? the middle; for this [history] also signifies toward the? age? always? a? way? of? life? that is glorious and how to find renown; for I think this is the testimony of history. But those who advance the teachings of the new discourses; furthermore, it is possible to admire this, for as much as the commonality contains according to a daimona divine spirit or guiding intelligence; for even handed down as such, it makes one speak, and it provides power, for which we address worthy speeches to good men. Because of these things, we encourage [study] even regarding those who have died; as a multitude of ten thousand such praises; signifying that nothing is done in vain. For just as [if] more than the first [time]; and the persuasion of the law; and not simply to teach; but similarly also the parts, some together with the alliance toward eudaimonia happiness/flourishing; and others mixed up to the point of what is useful [regarding] error; and some, even? the? appearance? of virtue, while desiring history at the same time to oppose these discourses; and the height of all true things is seen to be contained in the writing; therefore, I encourage [you] toward? justice? and? temperance? and? virtue?.
to? have? a? certain? contemplation? of? the? truth? in? life? in? order? to? know—who? then? could? be? more? just? than? one? honoring? history? and? the? writing? for? the? sake? of? those? reading? it?? For we see also the... The life of humans, therefore, is what comes from him because of time? and? the? changes;? but as for men, as the works of certain poets; not, however, without regard for the useful? and the beautiful;? [they conduct] their own actions in? a? certain? order? continually? honoring? the? same? things;? and each of us in life seems to do something of? virtue? among? the? multitude? and? humanity.? Nature, therefore, is something automatic; but paideia education/upbringing provides a useful fruit of virtue; and to do the common things [that lead] toward virtue in the parts of each person’s days; for even some of the things mentioned were not left out because of that time; and some judged the actions of fruits [to be] just? and? the ancient mythology; for the sake of the truth and? to reject them all; he knows the truth? through? the words they desired; for especially the gnome judgment/intelligence is not only what is proper; but? we? also? made? the? experience? of? them? in? the? treatise;? so? that? to? record? all? history? in? life;? and? the? rest.? For some [value] just actions, others by nature and virtue [believe] nothing unworthy should be thought to exist; living lawfully in this way and among the many [believing it] advantageous;? and yet to do these things under? laws? alone; until the end of all human life.
