And Enos lived one hundred and ninety years and fathered Cainan. And Enos lived after he had fathered Cainan seven hundred and fifteen years, and fathered sons and daughters. And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years, and he died. And Cainan lived one hundred and seventy years and fathered Malaleel. And God remembered that He had made man upon the earth, and He pondered. And God said, "I will wipe out the man whom I created from the face of the earth, from man even to beast, and from creeping things even to the birds of the sky, for I have regretted that I made them." But Noah found grace before the Lord God. And these are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, being perfect in his generation; Noah pleased God. And Noah fathered three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And the earth was corrupted before God and the earth was filled with injustice. And the Lord God saw the earth, and it was corrupted, because all flesh had corrupted its way upon the earth. And God said to Noah, "The time of every man has come before me, for the earth is filled with injustice from them, and behold, I am destroying them and the earth. Therefore, make for yourself an ark of squared timbers. You shall make nests in the ark, and you shall pitch it inside and out with pitch. And thus you shall make the ark: three hundred cubits the length of the ark, and fifty cubits its width, and thirty cubits its height. You shall make the ark narrowing, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and you shall make the door of the ark on the side; you shall make it with lower, two-story, and three-story levels. And behold, I am bringing the flood of water upon the earth to destroy all flesh in which there is the breath of life from under the sky; and whatever is upon the earth shall die. And I will establish my covenant with you. And you shall enter into the ark, you and your sons and your wife and the wives of your sons with you. And of all the cattle and of all the creeping things and of all flesh, two of every kind you shall bring into the ark, so that you may feed them with yourself; they shall be male and female. Of all the birds according to their kind, and of all the cattle according to their kind, and of all the creeping things of the earth according to their kind, two of every kind shall enter to you to be fed with you, male and female. And you shall take for yourself of all the foods that you shall eat, and you shall gather them to yourself; and it shall be for you and for them to eat."
