...often the chief cupbearers ... justice ... second place ...?
And it happened after these words, the chief cupbearer of the King of Egypt and the chief baker sinned against their lord, the King of Egypt. And Pharaoh was angry with his two eunuchs, with the chief cupbearer and with the chief baker. And he placed them in custody under the chief jailer in the prison, in the place where Joseph had been led. And the chief jailer committed them to Joseph, and he attended to them. And they were days in the prison. And both saw a dream, each a dream in one night, the vision of his dream, the chief cupbearer and the chief baker who were with the King of Egypt in the prison. And Joseph entered to them in the morning and saw them, and they were troubled. And he asked the eunuchs of Pharaoh who were with him in the prison at his lord's house, saying, "Why are your faces sad today?" And they said to him, "We saw a dream, and there is no one to interpret it." And Joseph said to them, "Is the clarification of them not through God? Tell them to me, therefore." And the chief cupbearer told his dream to Joseph and said, "In my sleep, there was a vine before me. And on the vine were three branches, and it, budding, brought forth shoots; the clusters of grapes were ripe. And the cup of Pharaoh was in my hand; and I took the grape and squeezed it into the cup, and I gave the cup into the hands of Pharaoh." And Joseph said to him, "This is its interpretation: The three branches are three days. In three more days, Pharaoh will remember your office and restore you to your chief cupbearership, and you will give the cup of Pharaoh into his hand according to your former office, as you used to serve as cupbearer. But remember me to yourself when it goes well for you, and you will perform mercy in me, and you will make Pharaoh remember me, and you will bring me out of this stronghold. For by theft was I stolen from the land of the Hebrews, and here I have done nothing, but they cast me into this pit."

And the chief baker, seeing that he interpreted correctly, said to Joseph, "I also saw a dream, and I thought I was carrying three baskets of white bread on my head; and in the top basket were all kinds of foods that Pharaoh eats, the work of a baker; and the birds of the sky were eating them from the basket on top of my head." Joseph, answering, said to him, "This is its interpretation: The three baskets are three days; in three more days, Pharaoh will take your head from you and hang you on a tree, and the birds of the sky will eat your flesh from you." And it happened on the third day, it was Pharaoh's birthday; and he was making a feast for all his servants, and he remembered the office of the chief cupbearer and the office of the chief baker in the midst of his servants; and he restored the chief cupbearer to his office, and he gave the cup into the hand of Pharaoh; but the chief baker he hanged, just as Joseph had interpreted to them; but the chief cupbearer did not remember Joseph, but forgot him.
