Paintings of the Life of Jesus

He is flanked by two standing figures: Elijah on the left and Moses on the right, both holding books to represent the Prophets and the Law. Below them, three disciples are shown: Peter on the far left pointing upward, John in the center holding a scroll, and James on the right. The figures are rendered in a provincial Byzantine-influenced style with bold outlines and flat washes of color including gold, red, blue, and ochre. A simple red border frames the entire scene.
