A full-page manuscript illumination depicts the Last Judgment or Christ in Majesty. The scene is divided into three horizontal registers within a golden architectural frame. In the top register, Christ sits enthroned in the center. He is flanked by the Virgin Mary and John the Baptist, a grouping known as the Deesis. The four living creatures of the Tetramorph, representing a man, a lion, an ox, and an eagle, surround Him with multiple red wings. In the middle register, five figures, likely apostles or saints, stand behind a red barrier. The central figure holds a book, while others hold scrolls or make gestures of speech. The bottom register shows a dark background depicting souls in torment. Six nude figures are entwined by large, spotted serpents or sea monsters that bite and constrict them.
