your wisdom will graciously accept this my undertaking, and take this little work under your protection and Patrocinium patronage, and not fail to support me and my Studia studies. Where I perceive such, I will in turn endeavor to also publish the other following parts of this Theatrum Theater, in which many kinds of waterworks, milling machinery, and otherwise other useful Machinæ machines can be seen, most expeditiously, and also otherwise, as much as possible for me, to prove myself worthy of your honorable, respectable, high, and wise favor, sparing neither diligence nor labor. And herewith I commend your honorable, respectable, high, and wise selves, collectively and individually, to Almighty God in His protection and keeping.
