to the favorable reader, the following ones, which are composed in various ways from the simple ones, by which their strength is greatly increased, might appear more understandable.

Should the art-loving reader also have a desire for various artistic clockworks, a description of an artistic movement from the books of Hieronymus Cardanus has been provided for him at the end of this part, in which the movement of the entire heavens can actually be represented. And I trust the favorable reader will have a good guide in the same to further ponder such artistic things with diligence, and daily to invent something more and better.

In the following parts, however, of this Theater, likewise four types of artistic machinæ machines will be presented with clear explanation, such as all kinds of useful waterworks, such as pumping mechanisms, water screws, large water wheels, water squirts, fountains, and the like belonging to water art.

Many kinds of artistic milling machinery, screws, and otherwise other inventions and advantageous movements will also be seen in future parts. These and other useful things I am inclined to publish in a short time as well; I trust entirely that it will give pleasure to the art-loving reader, especially because the authors who have written about these things are not easily obtained in the German language, also mostly printed in large format, and very expensive in terms of money.
