Therefore, the diligence of those who at this time apply themselves to such arts for the benefit of their neighbor, and indeed for the entire common good, is not to be rejected. For my part, I must confess, although I have the most meager understanding of it, that I nevertheless hold it in special esteem. And as I considered the necessity of the aforementioned mills, I have not let this labor, for the fulfillment of the Theatri Machinarum Theater of Machines, be a burden to me. I have therefore resolved to deal in this Third Part with all sorts of Machinis molaribus mill machines or mill-works.

So that my purpose may be the more suitably fulfilled
