The Greater Work Known as the "Opus Majus" in Latin, this is a massive compendium written around 1267. Roger Bacon sent this work to Pope Clement IV as a proposal to reform the medieval university curriculum, arguing that the study of nature and languages was essential for a true understanding of Christian theology.
