A Work by the Illustrious Brahmagupta

From this, in minutes, etc., multiplied by 12 and divided by the divisor, the Moon's mandocca like the Sun is 4;8;54;15. Now, again, the day-count 72715 divided by 38288 gives 1;51 in minutes, etc. Adding this to the previously obtained Moon's mandocca 4;8;54;15, and subtracting the vikshipta part, the Moon's mandocca is 4;8;54;15. Now, he describes the calculation of the Moon's node—

Decreased by the multiplier, multiplied by [the constant], starting from revolutions... original: "dramaguṇahīnād bugabākṣaghnaṃ bhagabādi śaranāgarasaiḥ. ṣaḍipurasābdhīnduśaraiḥ sāṅgaṃ cakrāccyutaṃ pātaḥ" ||14||
