An elaborate baroque-style ornamental crest. In the center is a shield containing a thorny rose bush with three distinct blossoms and several buds. Above the shield, a flowing ribbon bears the Latin motto: "SOUGHT THROUGH GRACE" on the upper left and right ends, and "OBVIOUS RETRIBUTION" in the central fold. The shield is framed by intricate volutes and scrollwork patterns.
