Furthermore, some profit-making businesses should, whenever possible, already be transferred into the hands of society—for example, streetcars, railways, electric lighting in cities, etc. Other profit-making enterprises, for example, spinning mills, chemical plants, flour mills, etc., can for now remain in the hands of private owners—the capitalists. There is also one more very great difference between the Social Democrats and the Party of People's Freedom: the socialists think that only the workers themselves know what a fair order should be and are able to organize it. Therefore, they want the workers to seize all power into their own hands for a time (if not now, then in the future, when the time comes), so that they may forcibly, even against the will of the majority of the people, introduce a new order (dictatorship of the proletariat) and only then, when everyone has become accustomed to it, permit the entire people to organize the life of the state.
