Satires of Juvenal and Persius

An ornate engraved bookplate features a decorative frame with scrollwork. At the top of the frame, two putti (cherubs) are seated; the one on the left reads a book, and the one on the right writes on a tablet. The sides of the frame feature medallions with female faces. At the bottom left are an inkwell, quills, and a globe. At the bottom right are architectural or scientific instruments, including a compass and square. In the bottom center, a nautical anchor is entwined with two dolphins.
