The inside cover features marbled paper in blue, yellow, and red. Pasted in the center is an ornate rectangular bookplate with a Renaissance architectural border. The border depicts two cherubs reading books at the top, classical masks on the side pillars, and a dolphin entwined around an anchor at the bottom center. Scholarly tools including a globe, inkwell, and telescope appear in the lower corners. Below the printed bookplate is a handwritten provenance inscription.
