SAYING THIRTY-THREE

Everyone who studies wisdom, if he is poor, it will be for him like wealth; and if he is wealthy, it will guide him on a straight path.

SAYING THIRTY-FOUR

Present grief is harder than everything before it, and lighter than what comes after it.

Just as bad habits are straightened in the company of the righteous, so good habits are corrupted in the company of the cruel.

Integrity and duties sustain the kingdom.

Prepare provisions for the day of separation, and the best of provisions are integrity and service.

Whoever does not endure the sin of his friend, his enemy will praise him.

It is better to live mute and lowly than to live with much and in error.

Increase in doing deeds of kindness, for time is fickle, and at times it lowers the honored.

The choice of deeds is repentance from waywardness, purity from cruelty, and holiness from transgression.
