An ornate engraved title page. At the top, two winged cherubs hold a royal crown over a circular medallion containing a portrait of King Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden. Around the inside of the medallion's border is the inscription "GLORIA ALTISSIMO". Below the medallion is a small winged head. The title text is inscribed on a central rectangular pedestal. This pedestal is flanked by two standing female allegorical figures: the figure on the left holds a model of a sailing ship and a sheaf of grain; the figure on the right holds an olive branch and a sword. At the base of the page is a large, crowned coat of arms of the Swedish Empire, with a set of scales visible to its right. The publication details are printed at the bottom of the engraving.
