By the decree of the Illustrious and Most Powerful Lords of the States of the United Provinces of the Netherlands, it has been ordained for Bonaventure and Abraham Elzevir, printers of the University of Leiden, that no one, except by the will of them or their heirs, shall for the entire next decade print within these regions, or bring in and sell elsewhere outside the provinces, this book, entitled: Sweden, or a Political Commentary on the Domains and Wealth of the King of the Swedes. If any person, in contempt of this authority, directly or indirectly, shall presume to commit to print this book, in whole or in part, in this or any other manner, outside the said interval of time, or to bring into these parts and sell it elsewhere after it has been printed, let them be condemned to the confiscation of the copies and, furthermore, a fine of six hundred florins; as is set forth more fully in the privilege itself, given at The Hague in the assembly of the Lords of the States General, 15 May, 1626.
