Sweden, or the Kingdom of the Swedes

gathered for the clearing of fields, which are seen in great numbers even today in the largest, pathless, and densest forests, which clearly prove that all of them were once inhabited. Wherefore the ancient writers have not undeservedly called it the workshop of races and the sheath of peoples. Scandinavia comprises two kingdoms of the Arctic region, namely Sweden and Norway.
