The decorative scheme consists of several concentric rectangular borders. The outermost borders are filled with repeating patterns, possibly including figurative or floral motifs. The central panel is a vertical rectangle containing a single, ornate lozenge-shaped fleuron (centerpiece) in the middle, which shows remnants of silver or gold tooling.
The binding is in a state of deterioration. Large sections of the leather have peeled away along the bottom and right edges, as well as in smaller patches across the surface, revealing the lighter-colored boards underneath. The spine, visible on the left, has raised bands and a small, partially torn white paper label. A thin, pale ribbon or paper strip protrudes from the top edge of the book's text block.
