...as with Aqua Vitæ, from white wine, in white calces, and in red calces with distilled vinegar. Then join it with Mercury ☿ alone, sublimated with sal ammoniac.
Also note that concerning the salt of metals and their calces, you have no other labor except that you give them ingress.
Also note that whether you have extracted salt from red calces with distilled water or with distilled vinegar, then congeal it in the sun as gently as on a fire, and then dissolve it by itself. And with its water, boil on a slow fire, in a urinal closed at the top, one [part of] well-washed Mercury ☿, sublimated and dissolved, so that with the water of the aforesaid salt and Mercury you may dissolve it in the said manner with the calx of gold.
Let Saturn ♄ be purged of Mercury ☿ with cold water. Let there be one part [of Saturn] and one part of Arsenic, each part being first sublimated by itself, and then together with sal ammoniac, which should be double the amount of those, until it is dissolved, by frequent quenching; and likewise let Jupiter ♃ be purged with the same water, without adding Arsenic.
Also note concerning the sublimation of Mercury ☿ and Jupiter ♃, that perhaps it is sublimated with saltpeter and common salt tempered [mixed]. To sublimate it thus, take 3 [parts] of that Mercury ☿, amalgamate it with 1 [part of] Mercury ☿, and add 1 [part] of sal ammoniac and the calx of eggshells, so that they sublimate together with some

sweet things. Then, that which remains in the bottom of the urinal after all sublimations, you should reduce into a body; the end of the roasted things.
Also note that when the salt of metals has been distilled and resolved, and congealed in the sun, it allows you to congeal a hundred [parts of] Mercury ☿ in a crucible, and it will be a medicine.
Also, the salt of metals allows you to dissolve a great amount of sublimated Mercury, which when congealed in a mass will be a perfect medicine.
I heard from a certain person that if Mercury ☿ is calcined by itself for 3 days, and then to that calcined material there is added lead, whether strongly filed or not filed, and they are calcined together for another 3 days; then let it be pulverized and placed between plates of Silver ☽, one part over two, and melted in a closed crucible, and it will be Gold ☉ of 24 carats, withstanding all tests, according to Andreas.
Take 1 pound of Saturn ♄, and let the filings be clean, and mix with 12 pounds of water of wine, beating it in a mortar with a little salt and vinegar until it has amalgamated together. Once amalgamated, place it in a quantity of aqua vitæ, and put the whole in a urinal on a fire by means of ash, and let there be a very slow fire beneath for a day and a night. Then allow it to cool; which when cooled...
