The image shows the front cover of a historical book or manuscript. The majority of the cover is decorated with marbled paper in a "comb" or "nonpareil" pattern, consisting of repeating scalloped waves in shades of dark brown, tan, cream, and yellow. The right side of the cover (along the spine) is bound in a dark brown leather or textured cloth. Pasted onto this dark binding is a small, rectangular white paper label with a double-lined black border. The label contains two lines of printed text.
