10. This fountain is sought by all men, but found by very few: it floats before everyone's eyes and is not recognized; everyone drinks it, but very few become wise.

11. This fountain carries out trade, as it were, with the upper and lower things, for it leads souls into hell and out again.

12. It is the beginning of life and death, the soul of the elements, for it adorns the world and distinguishes the species in nature, so that one can see what they actually are and what they are capable of; otherwise the world would remain and be as a mixed lump.

13. The Sages have called this fountain by many names but have concealed it greatly therewith, for the sole purpose that these pearls might not come before the snout of the sow original: "Saurüssel," referring to the biblical warning against throwing pearls before swine.

14. Moved by the fear of God and through love, I say that this fountain is nothing other than the Humidum radicale Primigenium primordial radical moisture of every single creature in the whole world.
